Neon lights, toilet rolls, millions of people, earthquakes, sushi and express trains. Japan is the country where everything is solved with accuracy and perfection. In the land of punctuality, you miss the train if you arrive at the platform 10 seconds late. Not quite the same as an "SL minute" here at home.

When vacationing in Japan, it's good to be mentally prepared that there will be some confusion on the trip. We ended up in situations where no one spoke English and we had no idea where we were. But thanks to the most helpful and kind people we ever met, everything always worked out for the best. In Japan, everything is extraordinary, even the people.
