The best travel blogs of 2020 - if the travel bloggers themselves get to decide

2021 started with an incredibly nice surprise for my little blog in the "Best Travel Blogs of 2020" poll!

No one can have escaped that 2020 has been neither the easiest nor the most inspiring year to be a travel blogger. Even though I've traveled a lot in Sweden's long country and discovered sides of Sweden that I didn't think existed, I've spent more time canceling trips than planning trips. Luckily, I have incredibly enterprising and innovative fellow bloggers who know how to cheer up, motivate and energize like this at the start of the new year.

Daniela on the travel blog Discovering the Planet arranged a small "Nobelfest" for us who blog about travel in Swedish, where we could vote for our own favorite blogs in several different categories. Simply Best Travel Blogs of 2020 – if the travel bloggers themselves get to decide. A little vitamin injection of blogging love. We are a small group of Swedish travel bloggers, so it wasn't about a few thousand votes. But maybe that's why I was so moved and happy by the result of the vote. To comb home one shared first place in the category "Collected work" together with the amazingly talented and talented Sofia on Fantasy trips, gives me energy to continue blogging for the whole of 2021 and beyond! Sofia also took home the victory in three categories, a well-deserved big victory for her!

So, be sure to enter and follow and read all the winners' travel blogs, Instagram and YouTube. There are so many incredibly talented Swedish travel bloggers out there to discover, hope you find some new favorites to follow!

Artiklar report

Dream destinations (and plans) for next year

Planned trips, longing for new places and longing for old favourites. It's almost a new year and I've already booked two trips. But where will the dream trip go? Time to dream away!

A completely unusual day

I was mentally prepared for something new to happen today. Changing positions at work is always a little nerve-wracking, even if it's the same employer. So everything was as expectedly new-old as I had expected. Approximately until 12:08.

Recipe: American Pancakes

There's no better breakfast than a big load of American pancakes, slathered with butter and drenched in maple syrup, and you're fueled for a day of exploring.

A healing autumn day on Österlen

We are going to Österlen and absorbs energy. To think about something other than yesterday's sad farewell. Life goes on for those of us who are left. Nothing stops, even if it feels like it sometimes.

Friday cozy at Arlanda with closed lounges.

When going on a weekend trip, you need to travel by plane on Friday night. But Arlanda doesn't seem to have understood that, because all services closed right in front of us.

2018 – the year spent in travel

The year is not over yet, but still I am sitting here writing an annual summary of my travels in 2018. A year with both ups and downs.

10 things I never thought I'd miss about traveling

During the covid years, I missed traveling so it hurt. It went so far that I even miss the thing that annoys me when I travel. Here are 10 things I never thought I'd miss about traveling — but almost longed for.

Autumn break on Österlen - Skåne

One more last minute Österlen? Yes, it was actually a lovely (but unplanned) autumn holiday in Sweden's Provence!

A new traveler in the family Rucksack!

The year the world shrank, a seed of thought began to germinate in the family. A seed that turned into a wonderful little four-legged whirlwind in the family Rucksack!
